Preheating / Dehumidification during Resin Application

OBJECTIVES

Control temperature and humidity on a multi-level car park construction site to create ideal conditions for resin application.

CLIENT REQUEST

The client requires an efficient preheating and dehumidification solution for large air volumes in a complex environment (multi-level car park), with a need for rapid intervention and independent management of the different levels.

CHALLENGE

  • Management of large air volumes (120,000 m³/h) distributed across multiple levels.
  • Ensure uniform temperature and humidity conditions despite the diversity of spaces to be treated.
  • Optimize equipment utilization for each level independently.
  • Installation of temporary ducts on multiple floors with limited access and a customized configuration.

TIBBLOC SOLUTION

We implemented a comprehensive system that met the project’s requirements. A preheating system, composed of a boiler room operating on rapeseed oil, was installed to ensure optimal temperature. In addition, six air handling units ensured dehumidification, with over 750 meters of flexible ducts 500 mm in diameter to efficiently diffuse the treated air.

The system was reinforced with additional ducts to target specific areas requiring localized treatment. Finally, a close collaboration with an expert partner in ventilation ensured a rapid, secure, and perfectly adapted installation to the site’s constraints.

PROFITS

  • Ideal conditions for improved resin adhesion and finish
  • Flexible ducts to adapt to constraints and progressive commissioning
